Mid-range staples
MP40 and PPSH still dominate CQB caps. Upgrade recoil early — they are spray weapons.
Semi-auto rifles bridge sniper lanes and street fights. Good on Normandy bluffs.
Test in live matches, not only the range. Player movement changes TTK more than paper stats.
Map-specific picks
Berlin and Stalingrad: SMG plus grenades. Tunisia: bolt or semi-auto plus pistol backup.
Moscow mixes both — bring a flexible assault soldier with swap weapons if unlocked.
Cheats and weapon choice
ESP helps pick the right gun before spawn — see if enemies stack SMGs or snipers.
No recoil helps MP40 most. Bolt-actions do not need it.
